Administrative Assistant to Theater Maker / Arts & Education Professional
Location: In-person in Brooklyn
Pay: $30/hour (as Independent Contractor)
Schedule: 6 hours, one day per week to start
Potential for additional part-time hours and occasional remote work
Start Date: December/January 2026-27
Application Deadline: Until position is filled
ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are looking for an organized, reliable and resourceful person to provide administrative and operational support to Gia Forakis, a theater maker/director, educator, coach, and creative professional, and to the businesses and projects connected to her work (GF&CO, One-Thought-One-Action™, and Creative Life Practice™).
This is a small, creative environment where the work can vary from week to week. The position will mainly be one-on-one with Ms. Forakis, but occasionally you will work with additional collaborators.
Your duties will include helping to keep projects, information, communications, events, and day-to-day business activities organized and moving forward. Some tasks are straightforward administrative work; others involve research, writing, problem-solving, project coordination, marketing, or supporting creative activities.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, curious, comfortable learning new things, and able to take initiative.
The position is primarily one 6-hour day per week working on-site in Brooklyn. The initial goal is to work through an existing backlog of administrative tasks while getting to know one another and learning how the various businesses operate. As the position develops, there may be opportunities for additional part-time hours and intermittent remote work.
Please visit our websites GFandCO.org, OneThoughtOneAction.com, GiaForakis.com, to read our missions and get a better understanding of all the aspects of Gia’s work and what we do as a company. Gia is also looking to build out her creative coaching client base – you can learn more about that at CreativeLifePractice.com.
