GF&CO’s adaptation of Dylan Thomas’ beloved classic poem grew out of our yearly holiday tradition of reading the poem aloud every December at our holiday party. Over time it grew into this playful staged reading with one actor reading the role of the mature Thomas, as he looks back upon his childhood memories, and four other actors reading a multitude of vivid characters that create a wide variety of memorable personalities. The result is a delightfully sweet "confection" for the season. We hope this reading becomes as much of a seasonal favorite for others as it has become for us, offering audiences a free treat in the spirit of the season!

What is an Open Studio?
GF&CO’s Open Studios are free INVITATION ONLY open rehearsals where we share the experimentation of our projects while still in development by putting our performance technique,One-Thought-One-Action (OTOA)™ into action. The JUNE 24 Open Studio will be the culmination of our 3-week residency, or, what we call, MONKEY TIME.
GF&CO Open Studios offer an opportunity to engage our invited guests in the early stages of our project development, and to share the benefits of process-driven projects (vs. product-driven productions) as they are grown incrementally.
GF&CO Open Studios are an opportunity to introduce potential producing partners, potential new patrons, and/or ambassadors to our work, our projects, and our company.
We conclude the Open Studio with light refreshments and an open dialogue.
What is Monkey Time?
Monkey Time refers to our workshop development residencies: a process dedicated to the exploration and experimentation of a new project while on our feet, as well as to the application of the One-Thought-One-Action (OTOA) ™ performance technique.
Monkey Time differs from traditional play development -- which focuses primarily on the development of a script and is generally conducted through a series of play-readings.
Monkey Time is time to "monkey around " and test new ideas long before we head into production
